Daimler Truck AG invites experienced professionals to join its global production team in Mexico to coordinate and optimize the production schedule, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery. The role requires strong lean tools, statistical analysis, and project management skills, with an engineering degree and English at B2+.

Formación

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing concepts and tools.

Responsabilidades

  • Identify risks in production operations and implement mitigation programs.
  • Coordinate daily communications and work assignments across shifts.
  • Ensure on-time delivery meeting internal metrics.
  • Promote quality and continuous improvement within manufacturing.

Objective of the position: Manage and coordinate the production schedule, ensuring compliance with the organization's established standards for safety, quality, cost, delivery, internal control, and ethical conduct. This is done under the principles of Simpler, Faster, Stronger Indispensable Requirements (Candidates who do not meet these requirements may be discarded): 8D Lean tools (Kaizen, CI) Core Tools Statistical analysis Project Management English level: B2+.

Main Functions
  • Identify risks within the company’s business operations; develop and implement programs to mitigate. Perform accident and incident investigations and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Provide follow-up to action plans from audits, self-inspections, and accident/incident investigations. Support EHS management requirements on report writing, statistical analysis and incident & accident trend studies
  • Communication: The production Supervisor is responsible for daily communications with the OU and SU employees. Daily, clear expectations are to be flowed down to Team Leades via work assignment reports, metrics boards, etc. The production Supervisor is responsible for managing pass-downs between shifts to ensure the shop runs without undue interruptions.
  • Supervisor to ensure On Time Delivery meets or exceeds our internal metrics. Issues with scheduling, capacity and lead times shall be dealt with quickly and late or "at risk" jobs will be communicated to customer at the earliest opportunity.
  • Promote Quality: The production Supervisor shall set the example to manufacturing for what quality is in Daimler. They shall conform to and work to improve our quality management system.
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Identifies and understands issues, problems and opportunities; uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions.
