Job summary

Cummins Inc. in San Luis Potosí seeks a Customer Engineering Product Specialist to bridge distributors and customers on power generation projects.

You will define technical specs, design configurations, and deliver high-performance, cost-effective solutions integrated with customer needs. Collaborating with sales, marketing, product engineering and service teams, you will support product selection, installation, and continuous improvement across LATAM.

Qualifications

5+ years as a Product Engineer and Application in Generator Set Applications.
Solid understanding of Power Generation equipment specifications and capabilities.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Bachelor degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics).

Responsibilities

Provide LATAM technical support for Power Generation and generator projects.
Support product selection, design and integration decisions to meet expectations.
Apply sizing and pre-sales process guidance during implementation phases.
Build relationships with customer technical counterparts and resolve installation issues.
Translate customer needs into product requirements and inform design discussions.
Ensure correct application and installation, validating prototype performance.
Participate in continuous improvement and customer-focused solutions.
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and student employees for knowledge sharing.
