Job summary

AgileEngine in Guadalajara, Mexico, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale core infrastructure that supports rapid company growth. You will manage cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes, implement service mesh patterns, and contribute to AI-native development tooling to keep systems secure and performant.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript, hands-on API design experience, and familiarity with distributed architectures.

Qualifications

• 4+ years server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 3+ years API design and REST/gRPC.
• 2+ years AWS and Kubernetes with service mesh knowledge.
• 2+ years building advanced architectural components.
• 6+ months experience with LLMs, prompt engineering or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months experience with Claude tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable platform services.
• Measure, monitor, and optimize system performance.
• Manage cloud resources and service boundaries securely.
• Implement best practices to improve development efficiency.
• Communicate with stakeholders including senior leadership on status and risks.
