Schneider Electric in Ciudad Juárez seeks a Planner Buyer Supervisor to lead production and material planning, and procurement in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will supervise planning teams, align material availability with schedules, and drive operational excellence using Oracle ERP and planning systems.

The role requires strong supply chain knowledge, leadership experience, and a track record of improving planning accuracy and on-time delivery.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
  • English advanced.
  • 5–8 years of experience in production planning, material planning, procurement, supply chain operations, manufacturing planning, inventory management.
  • Experience leading or supervising Planner Buyers, Material Planners, or similar roles.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Oracle ERP and supply chain modules.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP, MPS, MPP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Demand Forecasting, Inbound Logistics, and Material Flow Management.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead and supervise a team of Planner Buyers and provide direction and coaching.
  • Coordinate production plans and material requirements to support schedules and demand.
  • Serve as primary connection between internal operations, suppliers, and planning teams.
  • Monitor material flow and inbound material processes to ensure timely availability.
  • Manage inventory levels and supply continuity.
  • Use Oracle ERP to manage planning, purchasing, inventory, and manufacturing activities.
  • Translate demand into procurement and production plans; maintain MRP and MPS processes.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Identify supply risks and drive inventory optimization while preserving service levels.

Planner Buyer Supervisor
About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Planner Buyer Supervisor to lead and coordinate production planning, material planning, and procurement activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role serves as the key liaison between Planner Buyers, manufacturing partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure material availability, production continuity, and on-time customer delivery. The successful candidate will supervise planning and purchasing activities, align material requirements with production schedules, and drive operational excellence through expert use of Oracle ERP and planning systems.

This position requires a strong background in supply chain planning, procurement, materials management, MRP, MPS, and manufacturing operations, along with proven leadership experience managing planning teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of Planner Buyers, providing direction, coaching, and performance support.
  • Coordinate production plans and material requirements to support manufacturing schedules and customer demand.
  • Serve as the primary connection between internal operations, contract manufacturers, suppliers, and planning teams.
  • Monitor and supervise material flow to ensure timely availability of components and finished goods.
  • Manage inbound material processes, inventory levels, and supply continuity.
  • Utilize Oracle ERP to execute and monitor planning, purchasing, inventory, and manufacturing activities.
  • Analyze demand requirements and translate them into procurement and production plans.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) processes.
  • Support Master Production Planning (MPP) activities to optimize production capacity and inventory performance.
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to resolve supply risks and operational constraints.
  • Drive inventory optimization initiatives while maintaining service levels.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that may impact production schedules or customer deliveries.
  • Track and report key performance indicators related to material availability, inventory, supplier performance, production support, and delivery performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning accuracy, process efficiency, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • English advanced
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in:
    • Production Planning
    • Material Planning
    • Procurement
    • Supply Chain Operations
    • Manufacturing Planning
    • Inventory Management
  • Previous experience leading or supervising Planner Buyers, Material Planners, Production Planners, or similar supply chain functions.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Oracle ERP, supporting planning, procurement, inventory management, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

  • Experience working in manufacturing environments with responsibility for production schedules, material availability, and supply continuity.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting electronics manufacturing or contract manufacturing environments.
  • APICS/ASCM certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience managing complex supply chains involving multiple suppliers and manufacturing locations.
  • Demonstrated success improving planning accuracy, inventory performance, and service levels.
