Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico seeks an experienced Oracle Database Engineer (DBA) to plan, coordinate and administer Oracle databases, ensuring 24/7 availability and secure performance for critical workloads.

You will work with business units to meet requirements and keep documentation up to date. The role emphasizes upgrades, backups, data protection, and operability with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN and OEM Cloud Control, with opportunities to optimize OLTP/OLAP

Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS/CE or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of Oracle DB management experience in large-scale environments.
• Experience with Oracle 19c/23c, RAC, Data Guard, RMAN and partitioning.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure performance, security, and availability of all databases.
• Investigate and fix DB issues, including connectivity and performance.
• Collaborate with developers to design scalable DB structures.
• Prepare SOE and Runbook documentation and specifications.
• Follow SOX procedures for in-scope databases.
