HCLTech in Mexico is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on functional testing of mobile web applications across iOS and Android, and on building robust automated test frameworks.

You will collaborate with product owners and developers to define acceptance criteria, create API tests with Postman/Newman, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for fast feedback.

Formación

• Experience testing mobile web apps on iOS and Android.
• Hands-on automation framework development.
• Experience using Jira for defect tracking.
• Strong collaboration with product owners and developers.

Responsabilidades

• Perform functional testing of mobile web applications across iOS and Android platforms, validating user flows, UI behavior, and business logic.
• Execute manual test cases for end-to-end scenarios covering feature functionality, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Collaborate with product owners and developers to review requirements and define acceptance criteria for new features.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira, ensuring clear reproduction steps and priority classification.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for mobile web and API testing using tools such as WebdriverIO and Appium.
• Build and maintain API test suites using tools -Postman/Newman to validate request/response contracts, authentication, and error handling.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) to enable continuous testing and fast feedback loops.
• Develop reusable test components and page object models to improve test maintainability and scalability.
• Analyze test execution results, triage failures, and provide clear reporting on test coverage and defect trends.
