A leading global company in Nuevo Laredo is seeking an experienced customs specialist to manage customs processes and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, extensive experience in customs brokerage and import/export programs, and strong leadership skills. Formación

  • Minimum 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 8 years experience with a Master’s degree.
  • 5 years experience with a PhD is acceptable.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Perform and coordinate customs updates and applications.
  • Manage and coordinate customs brokerage and the imports of materials and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations.
  • Manage and carry out the importation of product and process transfers.
  • Provide and issue certificates of origin for finished products.
  • Ensure proper documentation of products and materials for customs.
  • Provide support to the materials and production departments.
  • Control and manage delivery logistics to internal and external customers.
  • Manage and coordinate the C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) and NEEC (New Enterprise Entity Certification) programs.
  • Manage processes and projects to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental guidelines, as well as Fromex-Emerson's internal procedures.
  • Carry out the safety and hygiene activities required to ensure proper functioning and compliance of the goals of the Health and Safety Subcommittee to which belongs.
  • Responsible to participate and meet the training programs.
  • Actively participate on cost reduction.
  • Comply with internal rules and all procedures and regulations.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor Degree, Master Degree is a plus.
  • Bilingual 90%
  • At least 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience handling import and export programs and in Anexo 24 & 30.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Knowledge of customs legislation and customs procedures.
  • Computer and shipping systems knowledge.
  • Leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Availability and documentation to travel to USA.
