EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Developer to lead remediation of security vulnerabilities across Flood Platform applications. You will design, develop backend services in Java/Spring, mentor engineers, and influence architecture while collaborating with stakeholders.

You will own security fixes, perform dependency upgrades, and promote secure coding standards in a large enterprise environment with end-to-end ownership.

Formación

• 3+ years of commercial software development experience with Java.
• Expert-level knowledge of the Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10).
• Ability to independently investigate security findings and design fixes.
• Experience with dependency and framework upgrades in large-scale systems.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving for complex, poorly documented systems.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong English communication skills with stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the analysis and remediation of security vulnerabilities across Flood applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend functionality using Java and Spring.
• Upgrade vulnerable libraries and plan migrations with impact assessment.
• Define and promote secure coding standards across the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues from fixes and upgrades.
• Lead code reviews and mentor developers on security and Java best practices.
• Collaborate with QA, product stakeholders, and architects for guidance.
• Contribute to front-end changes where Angular experience exists.
• Drive continuous improvement of application security and engineering processes.
