Job summary

Placements24 in Zapopan, Mexico, is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant with a strong IFRS focus to lead financial reporting across the group's entities.

You will oversee the general ledger, intercompany accounting, and consolidation processes, while partnering with audits and senior management. Fluency in Spanish and English is required; a CPA is preferred, with 6+ years of multinational corporate accounting experience. This role offers international exposure and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting.
• In-depth IFRS knowledge and consolidation experience required.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel skills preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Oversee general ledger functions and ensure accuracy for multiple entities.
• Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Support internal and external audits with necessary information.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management.
• Stay updated on IFRS changes and implement them appropriately.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and support budgeting/forecasting.
