Knight Piésold, a specialized international engineering firm, seeks a Hydromechanical Engineering Leader to manage a group of water and mechanical engineers. This role focuses on hydromechanical analyses and modeling, including surface water management, water balance, dam breach studies, and pumping/piping system design, construction and commissioning.

Formación

• BS and/or MS in Civil or Mechanical Eng with water/pumping specialization.
• Bilingual Spanish and English.
• 10+ years of work experience; mining experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and people management background.
• Familiarity with FLO-2D, GoldSim, HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS preferred.
• Experience in project/client management.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate hydromechanical and water disciplines, mentoring staff.
• Apply water resources and hydromechanical engineering knowledge to safe, economical solutions.
• Perform surface water analyses and modeling (climatic, hydrologic, hydraulic, water balance, dam breach).
• Oversee hydraulic and mechanical design of pumping systems; prepare specs, data sheets, P&IDs, and design criteria.
• Review calculations, data sheets, and design documents; assist cost estimates.
• Direct, oversee, and review analyses by junior staff.
• Develop civil/water management or mechanical designs for hydromechanical systems.
• Conduct site visits and travel; coordinate with local and global teams.
• Communicate with office leaders to convey design requirements.
