Wabtec seeks a Senior HR Manager for Industrial Components in Mexico to lead the HR strategy across four manufacturing entities and to directly manage 2–3 HR Managers. The role partners with senior leadership to drive business priorities, culture change, and employee relations across Mexico.

Key responsibilities include leadership of HR functions, talent management, succession planning, change management, and ensuring compliance with labor and contractual rights. Travel up to 10% is required.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in various HR positions, staff and client-based.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a HR leadership role.
  • Previous HR team management experience.
  • Languages: English — fluent.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Senior HR Manager - Industrial Components Mexico

The Senior HR Manager will lead the HR strategy for the Mexico locations within Freight & Industrial Components; inclusive of 4 manufacturing operating entities with ~400 employees and will directly manage 2 – 3 HR Managers. This role will be critical in partnering strategically with Senior Leadership, and their extended teams, to proactively identify and execute on both business priorities and driving culture change.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and expertise for the full scope of Human Resource (HR) functions, including talent management, succession planning, leading organizational change and facilitating team performance.
  • Partner with the HRBP for the Freight & Industrial Components group and the HR team in Mexico, in areas of organizational talent & strategy, compensation & benefits, learning strategies, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure full respect for the rights of employees, including labor, social, contractual, and legal rights. This includes administration of both individual and collective labor agreements.
  • Perform a leadership role in recruiting, selection, as well as restructuring, and reduction of the workforce as needed.
  • Develop and lead strategy to ensure robust pipeline and succession plans are in place.
  • Facilitate culture and communications throughout the organization; work with leaders to ensure successful implementation of change efforts.
  • Be responsible for compensation plans and rewards and recognition programs that are equitable and in line with the organization’s goals.
  • Provide advice, counsel, and support for the Wabtec de Mexico and WGS Mexico teams, the extended Freight & Industrial Components HR team, and others.
  • Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment.
  • Be a champion for change and an advocate for diversity across extended organization.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a variety of Human Resource positions, both staff and client based.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resource leadership role.
  • Previous HR team management experience.
  • Languages: English—competent speaker, able to communicate with fluency and accuracy.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel up to 10%.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Labor Relations or Business Administration.
  • Employee and Union relations experience, and contract negotiations experience.
  • Previous experience working as part of a Corporate business team providing HR strategy & direction.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence & engage at all levels of the business; including senior leadership.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong coaching skills.
