Novartis México is seeking a Senior HPC Infrastructure Engineer to drive deployment and ongoing management of HPC platforms, enabling modern delivery flows for high-performance computing solutions.

You will design scalable infrastructure, manage Linux-based systems, and lead critical incidents while collaborating with a Core Infrastructure Services team. Fluency in English is required and cloud experiences are valued.

Formación

• 6+ years’ IT experience, of which at least 3 in an HPC/scientific computing environment.
• Associate's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience designing and building infrastructure within a public cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure) as they relate to HPC workloads.
• Hands-on experience with system administrative tasks in Linux and scripting (bash; Python advantageous).
• Proficient with software builds and build systems (Make, CMake).
• Extensive knowledge of HPC scheduling mechanisms (Grid Engine, Slurm, LSF).
• Familiarity with HPC cluster management (Bright Cluster Manager, Base Command Manager, xCat, OpenHPC).
• Knowledge of computer architectures and multi-threaded/parallel processing.
• Experience with networked file systems (NFS, GPFS, Lustre, BeeGFS).
• Experience with InfiniBand networks and Unix performance tuning.
• DevOps awareness (Ansible, Chef, CI/CD).
• Desirable: AI/ML workloads infrastructure experience.
• Desirable: HPC infrastructure for scientific/pharma/bioinformatics environments.
• Exceptional service orientation and strong problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and ensure health/deployments of HPC infrastructure and services.
• Design and implement solutions using qualification frameworks for HPC workloads.
• Serve as escalation point during major incidents.
• Track suppliers and partners to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Contribute to service/platform strategy development.
