Baxter in Mexico seeks an experienced Trade Compliance Leader to oversee import/export operations and ensure compliance with Mexican and international regulations. You will work across planning, procurement, and operations to manage customs processes and regulatory obligations, driving policy development and training.

The role requires strong analytical skills, 8+ years in trade compliance, and hands-on experience with IMMEX, VAT-IEPS, and SAP.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• 8+ years in manufacturing, import/export, trade compliance, or supply chain.
• Experience with IMMEX, VAT-IEPS (CIVA), Annex 24/31 and customs programs.
• Strong knowledge of customs reporting systems and ERP usage (SAP preferred).
• Experience leading audits with customs authorities or government agencies.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure import/export operations comply with Mexican and international regulations.
• Oversee tariff classification and correct application of duties and procedures.
• Develop, implement, and maintain trade compliance policies and work instructions.
• Lead training to ensure understanding of customs compliance and policies.
• Act as liaison between Global Trade Compliance and local manufacturing/ops teams.
• Lead internal/external audits conducted by government agencies.
• Manage budgets and identify cost savings related to import/export.
• Promote Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
