Job summary

Tetra Pak is building a new global Customs & Import operating model and seeks a Senior Customs Auditor Expert in Polanco, Mexico City. You will ensure end-to-end compliance, work with regional teams, and drive continuous improvement across import/export and related programs.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in customs/foreign trade, experience with IMMEX/CIVA, Annex 24, PROSEC and OEA, plus auditing exposure in Big 4 or government authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in international trade, economics, administration or similar.
• 5+ years in customs, foreign trade, import/export.
• Experience managing IMMEX/CIVA, Annex 24, PROSEC, OEA.
• Auditing experience in Big 4 or government authority (e.g., SAT).
• Tariff classification experience.
• SAP or other customs software experience a plus.
• Proficient with Excel and MS Office.
• Fluent in English; strong stakeholder management.
• Collaborative, conflict-resolving mindset with innovative drive.

Responsibilities

• Drive compliance and end-to-end customs processes for import/export.
• Coordinate with local authorities to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Provide cross-functional support for cross-border activities.
• Optimize operating costs and reduce customs duties where possible.
• Ensure correct tariff classification of goods.
• Monitor legal changes and translate into day-to-day operations.
• Maintain Customs RACI and regulatory program requirements.
• Address knowledge gaps through training and sharing.
