Job summary

Roquette Frères S.A. in Querétaro, Mexico, seeks a Senior General Accountant to own general accounting, period-end closing, intercompany, fixed assets and financial reporting for entities in Mexico and Brazil, ensuring compliance with Group standards and internal controls.

You will review junior accountants, coordinate closing, manage intercompany reconciliations, respond to audits, and drive process improvements while coaching the team.

Qualifications

• 5 years in general accounting, closing or reconciliations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Audit; IFRS specialization.
• Fluent English; Spanish mandatory for Querétaro; Portuguese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate journal entries; post complex, judgmental or non-recurring entries.
• Coordinate closing and review account reconciliations prepared by the team.
• Own intercompany reconciliation and resolve complex differences with counterparties.
• Act as R2R point of contact for FP&A, Tax and Treasury during closing.
• Lead audit responses and act as contact on complex accounting matters.
• Review control evidence before sign-off and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Coach Junior General Accountants and drive process improvements.
