Roquette Group in Querétaro, Mexico is seeking a Junior General Accountant to execute general accounting, month-end closing, intercompany, fixed assets, and financial reporting for entities in Brazil, under supervision of a Senior Accountant.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years’ experience in general accounting, audit, closing or reconciliations
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Audit; IFRS knowledge is a plus
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards with basic tax and internal controls knowledge
• Basic to working knowledge of SAP FI/CO; training on SAP, Datasul and Protheus provided
• Advanced Excel; Power BI and AI/automation knowledge is a plus (to be validated)
• Fluent English; Spanish mandatory (Querétaro) and working Portuguese for Brazil interactions

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for review by the Senior General Accountant
• Perform closing tasks and reconciliations according to the closing checklist
• Process intercompany transactions and investigate discrepancies with guidance
• Update fixed-asset and GL master-data records
• Execute accounting tasks with accuracy and prepare supporting documentation
• Support fixed asset and depreciation processes under Senior Accountant guidance
• Manage routine intercompany accounting activities and reconciliations for timely reporting
• Provide closing inputs to FP&A, Tax and Treasury as requested
• Escalate complex issues to Senior General Accountant
