Job summary

Connecting Value in Puebla, Mexico is seeking a General Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, perform month-end and year-end closes, and support audits. The position requires 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, strong English, SAP proficiency, and advanced Excel skills.

Knowledge of NIF, IFRS and US GAAP is essential, with exposure to the automotive sector and multinational environments.

Qualifications

• Advanced English proficiency required.
• SAP experience and strong Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Cash flow forecasting experience.
• Experience with Mexican NIF, IFRS and US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Keep financial records current by recording all transactions accurately and timely.
• Create, validate, and post journal entries including accruals, deferrals, reclasses and adjustments.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities to deliver precise financial results.
• Reconcile key balance sheet accounts such as intercompany, fixed assets, and prepaid items.
• Review fluctuations and resolve discrepancies for data accuracy.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for financial statements and audits.
• Collaborate with AP, AR, payroll and other finance functions to ensure proper posting.
• Support internal and external audits and tax filings with reliable ledger information.
