Connecting Value is seeking a General Accountant in Huejotzingo, Puebla, Mexico. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, posting journal entries, and supporting monthly and annual close processes.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, 5+ years of experience, advanced English, SAP and Excel proficiency, and knowledge of NIF, IFRS, and US GAAP. Automotive industry experience is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance with similar responsibilities.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• SAP experience and strong Excel proficiency, including formulas and data analysis.
• Cash flow forecasting experience.
• Knowledge of Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF), IFRS and US GAAP.
• Experience reporting IFRS, Mexico, and US GAAP results.
• Experience in the automotive industry and with international companies or Big Four firms.

Responsabilidades

• Keep financial records current by accurately recording all transactions.
• Create, validate, and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments.
• Carry out monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities for accurate results.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts such as intercompany, fixed assets, and prepaid items.
• Review account fluctuations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare schedules and documents for financial statements and audits.
• Work with AP, AR, payroll to ensure correct posting.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and relevant standards (NIF, IFRS, US GAAP).
• Support internal and external audits.
• Provide ledger information for tax filings and compliance.
• Participate in month-end and year-end close meetings.
