AgileEngine is seeking a Lead SDET to build regression automation and guide the testing strategy across the full product release cycle. The role requires 6+ years in software QA, 6+ years in automated testing including UI/API/Performance, and 5+ years in systems-based testing architecture with a focus on authentication and infrastructure.

Strong English and hands-on experience with Javascript/Typescript and Gherkin are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software quality assurance working with PM, UX and engineering teams.
• 6+ years of automated testing across UI, API, and performance.
• 5+ years in systems-based testing architecture focusing on authentication, platforms, and infrastructure.
• 3+ years testing data science models and AI/ML evaluations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Javascript and Typescript.
• Experience with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilités

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration and performance tests.
• Document feature behavior with detailed notes.
• Record pass/fail criteria and link failures to bugs.
• Escalate risks to product quality when identified.
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure quality throughout SDLC.
• Incorporate user feedback into testing strategy with cross-functional teams.
• Assist in refinement and effort estimation for planning.
• Use Github to maintain automation repositories and run custom scripts.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Lead SDET to build regression automation and guide the testing strategy across the full product release cycle.

MUST HAVES

• 6+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role building alongside PM, UX, and Engineering Departments.
• 6+ years of experience in automated testing including UI, API, Performance.
• 5+ years in systems-based testing architecture - Authentication, platforms, and infrastructure focus.
• 3+ years of experience testing data science models and AI/ML evals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience with programming languages such as Javascript and Typescript.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Postman, Jmeter or any other object-oriented based automated testing framework.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and backend development.
• Experience with testing support functionalities such as Github Actions, Lambdatest, Sendgrid, Datadog, PagerDuty.
• Understanding of quality management systems and quality control processes.
• Background in data-based testing and/or security-based testing.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined set of criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types to ensure proper behavior of software.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bug identification.
• Identify and escalation any risk to quality of the product or the process.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in the testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planning.
• Utilize Github to maintain automation repositories, run custom scripts, and facilitate automated quality practices.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
