AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own production reliability for a high-scale live hiring events platform serving enterprise clients. You will diagnose issues across distributed backends built on Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, while working with Client Support and GTM teams to meet SLA commitments.

A strong React frontend and ownership across projects are essential. The role demands rapid execution, distributed systems troubleshooting, and a passion for platform

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development experience with Java + Spring Boot (Primary Priority).
• Strong backend development experience with Python + Django (Secondary Priority).
• Strong frontend experience with React.
• Experience with Kafka, GraphQL, SQL and/or MongoDB.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Ability to ramp up quickly and own multiple projects.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues in live environments.
• Experience with Dagster, Data Lakes or Amazon Athena.
• Strong debugging and data-analysis skills and communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues related to live hiring events and platform functionality.
• Diagnose problems across distributed systems, integrations, and event workflows.
• Collaborate with Client Support and GTM teams to triage and resolve tickets efficiently.
• Ensure timely issue resolution in accordance with SLAs.
• Monitor production systems and respond to alerts and performance degradation.
• Maintain and update event logic as platform dependencies evolve.
• Contribute to architecture improvements, reliability, and scalability initiatives.
• Own code merges, deployments, and production changes with minimal supervision.
• Support and onboard additional engineers as the team grows.
• Provide technical leadership and operational guidance across multiple projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own production reliability and troubleshooting on a high-scale live hiring events platform serving enterprise clients. You will diagnose and resolve issues across distributed backend systems built on Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, while collaborating closely with Client Support and GTM teams to maintain SLA compliance. The role demands rapid execution, strong React frontend experience, and the ability to take ownership across multiple concurrent projects.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues related to live hiring events and platform functionality;
• Diagnose problems across distributed systems, integrations, and event workflows;
• Collaborate closely with Client Support and GTM teams to triage and resolve support tickets efficiently;
• Ensure timely issue resolution in accordance with established SLAs;
• Monitor production systems and respond quickly to alerts, incidents, or performance degradation;
• Maintain and update event logic as platform dependencies and integrations evolve;
• Contribute to architecture improvements, backend reliability, and system scalability initiatives;
• Own code merges, deployments, and production changes with minimal supervision;
• Support and onboard additional engineers as the team grows;
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and operational support across multiple projects.

MUST HAVES

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience;
• Strong backend development experience with Java + Spring Boot (Primary Priority);
• Strong backend development experience with Python + Django (Secondary Priority);
• Strong frontend experience with React;
• Experience with at least one of the following, or willingness to learn: Kafka, GraphQL, SQL and/or MongoDB;
• Experience with build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes;
• Proven ability to ramp up quickly and take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously;
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues in live environments;
• Experience with at least one of the following: Dagster, Data Lakes, Amazon Athena;
• Strong debugging and data-analysis skills for investigating production incidents;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

NICE TO HAVES

• Product Management experience or close collaboration with GTM and Engineering teams on prioritization initiatives;
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf;
• Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams in high-growth environments.
