Job summary

Vanguard Mexico is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join the Digital Experience team. You will design and deliver cloud-native, full-stack web apps using Angular, Java, TypeScript, and AWS, working across product, UX, security, QA, and platform teams.

This hands-on role focuses on scalable architectures, API-driven solutions with GraphQL/REST, and CI/CD pipelines. You will mentor peers and contribute to security, performance, and governance while shaping engineering practices in Mexico

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience, senior-level full-stack preferred.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Hands-on with Angular, Java, and TypeScript.
• Proven AWS deployment experience.
• Experience designing and consuming GraphQL and RESTful APIs.
• CI/CD, build and deployment automation, and Docker.

Position Overview

Join Vanguard Americas’ Digital Experience team and help build the technology that supports our B2B advisor businesses across Mexico, South America, and U.S. offshore markets.

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you’ll have the opportunity to play a foundational role in Vanguard’s growing technology presence in Mexico. You’ll design and deliver modern, cloud‑native digital experiences, working across the full technology stack with Angular, Java, TypeScript, and AWS. This is a hands‑on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, owning solutions from design through production, and collaborating across product, UX, security, QA, and platform teams. You’ll help build scalable, secure, high‑performing applications while influencing architecture and engineering practices along the way.

Core Responsibilities

• Own features end to end, translating business and technical requirements into well‑designed, scalable solutions and leading them from architecture and development through deployment and production support.


• Design, develop, test, and maintain full‑stack applications using Angular, Java, TypeScript, and AWS, including integrations with third‑party services and APIs.


• Build modern API‑driven solutions using GraphQL and RESTful APIs, with an emphasis on modular, maintainable architecture.


• Create responsive and accessible user experiences aligned with enterprise design systems, web standards, and reusable component patterns.


• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automated build, test, and deployment processes using modern DevOps and containerization practices, including Docker.


• Partner closely with product, UX, QA, security, infrastructure, and platform teams to deliver reliable, high‑quality digital experiences.


• Apply sound engineering judgment to architecture, design patterns, security, performance, and application scalability.


• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and testing, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and mentor less‑experienced developers.


• Support applications in production and contribute to incident, change, and release management.


• Explore emerging AI‑assisted engineering patterns and tools, including agentic AI and MCP‑based workflows, to improve development, testing, and documentation while maintaining strong engineering judgment and governance.


• Ensure solutions meet Vanguard’s technology, quality, security, and information security standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant software development experience, including advanced or senior‑level full‑stack development experience.


• Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.


• Strong hands‑on development experience with Angular, Java, and TypeScript.


• Proven experience building and deploying applications on AWS.


• Experience designing, building, and consuming GraphQL and RESTful APIs.


• Experience with CI/CD, build and deployment automation, and containerization technologies such as Docker.


• Strong understanding of secure web development, including authentication and authorization.


• Experience working with or contributing to enterprise design systems.


• Solid knowledge of web standards, accessibility, and responsive design.


• Exposure to AI development standards, frameworks, models, or libraries such as LangGraph, Model Context Protocol (MCP), or OpenAI technologies.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global, cross‑functional, and matrixed teams.
