Job summary

albo, a leading fintech in Mexico, is seeking a Financial Controller to lead Accounting and FP&A, reporting to the CFO. The role blends technical review, team leadership and business judgment in a regulated fintech environment.

You will own close processes, regulatory reporting to CNBV and Banco de México, oversee audits in MX and UK, and drive budgeting, forecasting and financial controls using NetSuite.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Accounting, Controlling, or Finance.
• Proven leadership of accounting and FP&A teams.
• Hands-on with CNBV accounting criteria and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with IFRS, group consolidation, and intercompany accounting.
• Experience with NetSuite (Oracle) or similar ERP.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPC is a plus.
• English fluency; experience with international auditors.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close, ensuring accuracy and consolidation.
• Oversee reconciliations across systems and the ledger, including settlements.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting to CNBV and Banco de México.
• Manage SAT filings and tax reconciliations with tax teams.
• Lead external audits in Mexico and the UK and ensure audit readiness.
• Develop budgets and rolling forecasts with variance analysis.
• Improve financial controls using NetSuite and automation.
