In this role, you will drive the implementation of industrial strategy, support site engineering, and promote technological innovation across the region. A degree in engineering and significant experience in industrialization within the high productivity plastic industry are required. This position offers a hybrid work model and opportunities for travel to support projects.

WHAT’SNEWWITHAPTAR:JobDescription:

As part of the Global Engineering Support team, the Senior Engineer Industrialization will drive the implementation of industrial strategy through promotion of industrial standards and blueprints across Closures’ sites in NA and LatAm. As a recognized Key Subject Matter, the Senior Engineer Industrialization will actively support the sites in managing Site industrialization projects such as line revamping, technological improvement, production line relocation, capacity increase for existing products. The role will support technological innovation, creating and animating a network among the site engineering, optimizing manufacturing processes and providing active support to strategic projects in the region.

Main responsibilities:

• Promote and maintain a safety culture in Engineering and Industrialization activities, on top of legal requirements (UL/NR-12/NOM/CE regulatory).
• Contribute to the design and deployment of an appropriate Industrial Strategy.
• Active support to site engineering, by supporting and coaching site teams and directly participating to key engineering/industrialization projects and technology transfer.
• Promote technology innovation i.e. new technologies and suppliers scouting, new technologies test, explore I4.0 initiatives.
• Support Capex optimization, providing best solutions in terms of technology and suppliers and promoting assets reutilization, also leveraging on regional synergies and industrial strategy.
• Lead the technical community in regional Operations by animating teamwork and networking: coach local talents, share the best practice for each of the technologies and support high level problem solving.
• Contribute to high level cost saving and improve quality initiatives

Locations:

• Mexico (Queretaro), USA (Lincolnton or Mukwonago) or any other country in the region where Aptar Closure has a legal entity. Remote office possible. Availability to travel regularly (50% on average) to support projects on site and visit suppliers.

Candidates’ profiles:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
• Seasoned experience in Industrialization and engineering in high productivity plastic industry (packaging, healthcare, consumer goods, electronics, etc), including experience in Molding and assembling technologies. A specific competence in Scientific molding, Vision systems, Industry 4.0 would be highly appreciated.
• Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally (customers, suppliers, stakeholders, networking)
• Ability to adapt to multi-cultural organizations and team
• Ability to develop and coach talents
• Project management skills with a track record of handling complex projects
• Result orientated and structured way of working
• Proven management, communication, and technical capabilities

• Fluent in English. A second language (Spanish or Portuguese) would be an advantage
