Job summary

Flex is seeking a Senior Environment Health & Safety Engineer in Guadalajara to develop, implement and monitor safety programs that comply with regulations while promoting a safe, productive workplace.

Reporting to the EH&S Manager, you will lead high voltage safety initiatives, manage contractors, and drive continuous improvement across asset integrity, gas management, emergency response and training.

Qualifications

Minimum BA/BS or equivalent in EH&S or related field.
Proven experience leading teams in EH&S programs.
Certified in NFPA 70E, ISO 45001/14001, or related trainings.
Intermediate English proficiency.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement and monitor environmental safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations.
Lead SPCC planning and ensure secondary containment is clear of debris and water.
Track SF6 gas leak rates and ensure recovery procedures follow standards.
Oversee Emergency Response training and high voltage rescue planning.
Monitor deluge systems and PPE readiness; manage qualified person criteria.
Contractor management to align safety protocols with internal standards.
Monitor Thermography, DGA and SF6 levels to prevent failures.
Ensure grounding grid integrity and near-miss reporting.
