Ariston Saltillo is seeking a proactive Direct Material Buyer to join our team, supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment and cross‑functional collaboration. You will source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for steel, packaging, brass, aluminum, and other components, manage annual spend, and drive 3–5% cost savings using CBD analyses.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing and direct materials.
• At least 3 years handling commodity categories.
• Advanced negotiation and CBD skills with documented cost savings.
• Intermediate to advanced SAP MM knowledge.
• Intermediate commodity and pricing analysis and market interpretation.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel including pivot tables and visualization.
• Business-fluent English with international suppliers.
• Strong conflict resolution for supplier performance issues.
• Ability to multitask across multiple commodities and deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for assigned commodities.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules using CBD as the primary methodology.
• Manage significant annual spend volumes with budget accountability.
• Identify, quantify, and implement cost reduction initiatives targeting 3–5% annual savings.
• Monitor commodity markets and pricing trends to forecast cost impacts with data-driven insights.
• Track Planned Price Variance (PPV) and prepare executive variance reports.
• Conduct supplier benchmarking, multi-source quotations, and Total Cost of Ownership evaluations.
• Partner with Planning and Finance on demand forecasting and annual budgeting cycles.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with critical/high-risk suppliers and escalate issues.
• Support supplier quality assessments and basic supplier audits.
• Negotiate complex commercial terms including prepayment vs. COD, warranties, lead times.
