KTP Kunststoff Palettentechnik GmbH in Zapopan, Mexico is seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to lead the design and development of innovative packaging solutions tailored to client needs.

You will partner with sales, production, procurement, and R&D, apply NX for advanced modeling, and coach junior designers while ensuring cost-efficient, high-quality results across textile, plastics, and steel packaging formats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Senior designer capable of coaching teammates in NX, packaging design, and 3D modeling fundamentals.

Responsabilités

• Identify customer needs and develop appropriate packaging solutions.
• Provide technical expertise and support to customers and sales during implementation.
• Coordinate activities with cross-functional teams for business acquisition management.
• Ensure proper production and quality control with manufacturing teams.

MexicoYOUR ROLE: Identify customer needs & develop appropriate packaging solutions- Design and Development: - Design and develop innovative packaging solutions based on customer requirements.

• Provide technical expertise and support to the customers and sales team during the implementation of packaging solutions.
• Business Acquisition Management - Coordinate activities with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure proper production and quality control processes with manufacturing teams.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Customer & cross-functional collaborations - Collaborate with teams such as sales, production, procurement, and R&D to meet project objectives.
• Identify the best strategies to develop the marketplace for KTPconTeyor products (Textile- Plastics- Steel returnable packaging solutions).
• Work closely with customers to understand their packaging requirements.
• Provide technical expertise and support in selecting auditable packaging solutions.
• Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, quality control and sales teams.
• Address technical challenges, incorporate feedback and optimize designs.
• Service as a technical resource for customers, sales teams and production staff.
• Assist with troubleshooting product or packaging issues.
• Feasibility studies - Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of proposed packaging solutions.
• Analyse material costs, manufacturing capabilities, transportation considerations, and environmental impacts.
• Monitor market trends, technological advancements, and industry best practices.
• Identify areas for improvement and explore innovative packaging techniques.
• Documentation and Communication - Develop technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports. This position is based in our office in Zapopan, Mexico and we request flexibility to travel for customer visits if needed. Education- You have a bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience- You can act as a Senior Designer and help coach other design team members in NX, Packaging design and 3D modeling fundamentals and best practices.
• You have re-usable packaging design experience in our field of expertise with a competitor or packaging manufacturer.
• A previous experience as a steel rack design but preferably textile dunnage design and even rigid dunnage design is required.
• You have strong 3D modeling fundamentals – We will want to test your skill level using a real-world test in NX modeling.
• You have NX expertise, since we work in NX, and we are looking for someone that can help us in realizing design efficiencies using NX modules and automation.
• Skills- You have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills- Communication is important for you and you have strong interpersonal skills- You have strong analytical & organizational skills- You are extremely customer focused- You have proven project management skills- You are multi-cultural aware and used to working in an international environment- You have strong understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes and machinery- We expect an excellent level of Spanish and English, oral and writtenOUR OFFER: What can KTPconTeyor offer you?
