The Senior Drilling Engineer position is based in Mexico City and focuses on leading planning, engineering, execution support and post-well evaluation of complex deepwater drilling projects in Mexico. The role emphasizes safety, operational excellence and cost optimization across the full well lifecycle.

Key activities include developing drilling programs, designing well trajectories, preparing budgets and participating in safety reviews and tender evaluations.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Drilling Engineer.
• Experience in Deepwater drilling operations.
• Strong knowledge of well planning, drilling engineering and execution.
• Experience with Landmark software (OpenWells, WellPlan, WellCat) or similar.
• Advanced English (written and spoken) mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Develop detailed drilling and well construction programs.
• Design casing programs, well trajectories and directional drilling plans.
• Prepare drilling budgets, AFEs and cost estimates.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, DWOP and technical workshops.
• Lead technical evaluations during tendering and support contract management.
• Support offshore drilling operations, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
• Monitor drilling performance, KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare End of Well Reports and capture lessons learned for future campaigns.
