Job summary

Computrabajo seeks a Senior Databricks Security Engineer & AI Automation to design, secure Databricks Lakehouse environments and protect data analytics and AI workloads. You will apply cloud security controls, access policies, and automation to strengthen platform protection.

The role demands hands-on Databricks security experience, Unity Catalog, identity integrations, Python scripting, and IaC (Terraform). Remote work and a competitive salary are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud security, data security, or security engineering, incl. 2+ years of Databricks hands-on experience.
• Expert knowledge of Databricks security features: Unity Catalog, access control, workspace/admin tools, and encryption.
• Experience with Databricks identity integration (SSO/SCIM/service principals) and REST API or SDK for config, auditing, automation.
• Strong Python scripting and automation for integrations, data pipelines, and reporting; IaC experience (Terraform).
• Solid understanding of cloud networking and security on Azure and/or AWS: private connectivity, IAM, storage security.
• Experience in regulated financial services security governance (GLBA, PCI-DSS, SOX) with remediation focus.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a senior security engineer with hands‑on experience securing Databricks Lakehouse environments an protecting sensitive data analysis and AI workloads. The ideal candidate combines expertise in cloud data security, access controls, security monitoring, and automation, with the ability to leverage Python and AI‑driven tools to streamline security operations and improve platform protection.

Key Responsabilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for Databricks Lakehouse environments.
• Protect sensitive data, analytics workloads, and AI environments trough access controls, secure configurations, and continuous monitoring.
• Implement security best practices for identities, permissions, secrets, data access, and workload configurations.
• Monitor security events, identify misconfigurations, investigate vulnerabilities, and support remediation efforts.
• Develop Python scripts, API integrations, and automation workflows to improve security monitoring and automate repetitive activities, and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and security teams to maintain compliance and strengthen the platform´s security posture.

Requiered qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud security, data security, or security engineering, including 2+ years of deep, hands‑on Databricks experience in a production enterprise environment.
• Expert‑level knowledge of Databricks security features: Unity Catalog and fine‑grained access control, workspace and account administration, cluster and compute policies, secrets management, audit logging and system tables, and encryption with customer‑managed keys.
• Demonstrated experience with Databricks identity integration (SSO, SCIM, service principals, OAuth) and with the Databricks REST API or SDK for programmatic configuration, auditing, and automation.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python (strongly preferred) for building integrations, data pipelines, and reporting automation, plus Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred).
• Solid understanding of cloud networking and security on Azure and/or AWS: private connectivity, segmentation, storage security, key management, and IAM.
• Experience managing data security and access governance in regulated financial services environments (banking regulatory, GLBA, PCI‑DSS, SOX) with demonstrated ability to drive remediation accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or integrating AI/LLM‑driven workflows for security operations (alert triage, report generation, automated remediation orchestration).
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, AI orchestration and agent frameworks, MCP, and API‑driven automation patterns for security use cases.
• Databricks certifications (Data Engineer, Machine Learning, or Platform Administrator) and relevant cloud security certifications (Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, CCSP) or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
• Experience securing ML and GenAI workloads, including model registries, model serving endpoints, vector search, and AI gateway controls.
