AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and operate batch and streaming pipelines on Databricks using PySpark and Delta Lake. The role focuses on migrating legacy workloads to a governed Lakehouse and implementing medallion architecture for analytics and AI use cases.

You will work with a strong emphasis on SQL, Python, Unity Catalog governance, and modern data quality practices, collaborating across DevOps and analytics teams.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering and strong Apache Spark background.
• Experience building data pipelines with Databricks, Spark (PySpark), and Delta Lake.
• Advanced SQL and Python with data modeling across Lakehouse patterns.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate batch and streaming data pipelines on Databricks using PySpark and Delta Lake.
• Model and maintain a medallion architecture for analytics, reporting, and AI workloads.
• Migrate legacy ETL and data warehouse workloads to the Lakehouse with minimal disruption.
• Leverage Claude or GitHub Copilot to accelerate development, testing, and documentation.
• Write clean Python and SQL; ensure code quality through reviews and tests.
• Optimize Spark jobs and Delta tables for performance and cost, including partitioning and caching.
• Implement data quality, lineage, governance, and Unity Catalog controls.
• Debug and resolve pipeline failures and production issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps, platform, and analytics engineers on observability and security.
