Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Scala and functional programming.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data integration pipelines and backend services for structured and unstructured data using Apache Spark with Scala.
• Build and optimize distributed applications delivering batch and streaming workloads within Microsoft Fabric environments.
• Perform Spark performance tuning including memory, partitions, query plans, and workload balance.
• Develop REST-based microservices on the JVM to enable integration with internal and external systems.
• Engineer modular, testable, and maintainable Scala code following SOLID principles.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Maven, and SBT for automated testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with global teams in an Agile environment to deliver data solutions.
