Job summary

The Coca-Cola Company is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer in Mexico City to design and implement data integration pipelines using Apache Spark with Scala.

You will build scalable batch and streaming workloads within Microsoft Fabric and Synapse, and develop REST-based microservices on the JVM to enable seamless interoperability across systems. Applicants should have strong Spark expertise, experience with Azure data services, and hands-on CI/CD practice.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Scala with strong FP concepts and modular design.
• Hands-on Spark development for large-scale batch/streaming workloads.
• Experience designing data models and REST-based microservices on JVM.
• CI/CD automation with GitHub Actions, Maven/SBT.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data integration pipelines using Spark/Scala.
• Build distributed batch and streaming workloads in Microsoft Fabric environments.
• Tune Spark performance: memory, partitions, query plans, and workload balance.
• Develop REST-based JVM microservices and APIs for internal/external systems.
