Ford Mexico is seeking a senior Data Engineer to build and operate data foundations for Sight portfolio across factory data streams. You will own pipelines from PLCs, sensors, cameras and plant systems into a scalable platform, enabling anomaly detection and ML readiness at scale.

You will collaborate with software architects, product managers, and plant teams, traveling as needed to understand source data and ensure data quality and governance across global sites.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Data Eng or related.
• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience in production pipelines.
• Advanced SQL and Python; choose tools based on context.
• GCP experience: BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud SQL.
• Batch and streaming data processing; orchestration tooling.
• Data modelling for analytical and operational use; data quality practices.
• CI/CD, version control, automated testing; infra as code.
• Mentoring engineers; lead data platform direction.
• Fluent professional English; agile team player.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, test and operate data pipelines from plant OT sources into GCP.
• Create batch and streaming pipelines; manage ingestion, processing and storage.
• Define data models and semantic layers for cross-plant use across products.
• Implement data quality, lineage, validation and governance.
• Prepare training and inference datasets; support MLOps path to production.
• Mentor engineers; reduce single-person dependency and promote standards.
