Takeda’s Innovation Capability Center in Mexico City is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our digital transformation journey. You will build data models, pipelines, and AI-ready components to accelerate discovery and manufacturing in life sciences.

Collaborating with product managers, engineers, data scientists and lab staff, you will deliver scalable data products, dashboards, and reusable Python libraries while upholding quality through tests.

Formación

• 8+ years building data products as a Data Engineer or similar.
• 8+ years programming in Python and SQL with a focus on data.
• Experience leading projects, managing requirements, and handling timelines.
• Experience managing multiple customer‑focused implementation projects across cross‑functional teams, building sustainable processes, and managing delivery milestones.
• Experience with data plotting dashboarding tools like React and/or Streamlit is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with pre‑clinical data and lab scientists is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the confidence to take control of project delivery.
• Quickly understand a highly technical product and effectively communicate with product management and engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Understand requirements with product managers and architects and build consensus-based solutions.
• Own data models, prototypes and integration solutions to drive customer success.
• Build data pipelines with unit and integration tests to ensure high fidelity data.
• Develop data apps and dashboards using React, Streamlit, and Jupyter notebooks.
• Lead agile sprint delivery and mentor junior engineers.
