McDonalds Global Technology in Mexico City is seeking a Senior Engineer, Application & API Security to lead the E-WAAP effort. You will onboard new applications to Akamai, design security policies, and partner with product, development, and cloud teams to embed security into code, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.

The role requires strong experience in WAF, API security, and threat analysis. You will mentor junior engineers, drive platform health metrics, and collaborate with product teams to evolve

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Experience applying Agile methodologies in software security projects.
• Knowledge of large-scale, global high-availability platforms.
• Familiarity with Akamai APIs and infrastructure-as-code tools.

Responsabilidades

• Lead onboarding of web and API workloads to Akamai with security controls.
• Design and tune WAF, bot management, and rate-limiting policies.
• Integrate security checks into CI/CD and DevSecOps workflows.
• Develop automation tools to streamline security operations.
• Mentor engineers and lead governance for security posture.
