Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building efficiency, seeks a highly organized lawyer to support U.S. litigation and Labor & Employment matters from Monterrey. You will work under supervision of U.S.

and regional attorneys, handling matter administration, reporting, and document coordination. The role partners with in-house and outside counsel, insurers, vendors, IT, HR, and Finance, with potential to expand to broader U.S. legal support.

Qualifications

• Law degree and license to practice law in Mexico.
• Typically 10 years of post-graduate legal experience.
• Experience supporting litigation, Labor & Employment, insurance matters, legal operations, or a corporate legal department is preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English; professional fluency in Spanish.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and use of AI.

Responsibilities

• Manage matter intake, administration, and coordination for U.S. litigation and Labor & Employment matters from Monterrey.
• Coordinate meetings, calendars, and tracking for insured litigation portfolios.
• Prepare and maintain Legal Tracker reports, analytics, and invoicing workflows.
• Support external counsel, vendors, IT, HR, and Finance; expand to broader U.S. team over time.
