The Role: Sr Community Manager (Social Media & Community Manager)

THE OPPORTUNITY

Some of the most trusted household brand portfolios in Mexico are built on everyday trust, and this is your opportunity to lead how those brands show up on social.

Based in Mexico City with a hybrid working arrangement, you'll own the organic social presence of a leading household brand portfolio across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook: strategy, content calendar, brand voice, community growth, and insight. You'll work at newsroom speed with genuine craft building communities that feel human and worth engaging with, not content that gets posted and forgotten.

You'll also bring the most experienced voice to the social team: managing a community manager, reviewing creator output, and setting the standard for quality and strategic thinking across all social output.

The brief is clear: make one of Mexico's most established household brand portfolios the most culturally relevant brand on social in the country.

We support flexible working and are open to different arrangements. We offer reasonable adjustments throughout the process.

THE ROLE

This role sits at the intersection of brand purpose and Mexican social culture. You'll lead community strategy and day-to-day execution, working closely with content creators, the in-house studio, and the client brand team.

Your job isn't to broadcast brand messages. It's to build communities where people feel heard, valued, and genuinely connected to brands that are already part of their everyday lives. That means spotting a trending moment, knowing whether and how the brand should engage, and delivering it while it's still relevant. It means translating social listening data into insight and creative direction. And it means developing the people around you, so the team consistently delivers excellent work.

Success looks like active, growing communities; audiences that trust and engage with the brands; and clear, actionable reporting that shapes what comes next.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead community strategy, engagement planning, and growth objectives for social channels in Mexico across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Own the brand's voice across all channels; engaging with audiences in a tone that feels authentic, helpful, and consistent with brand guidelines
  • Monitor conversations, trends, and competitor activity using social listening tools, translating findings into content ideas, engagement opportunities, and strategic recommendations
  • Develop and manage the social content calendar, balancing always-on publishing with campaign activations, cultural moments, and reactive opportunities
  • Commission and produce timely, platform-native content optimised for Mexican audiences, collaborating with content creators and the wider studio team
  • Track community metrics and produce monthly reports with clear insights and actionable recommendations for the studio and brand team
  • Work with the client's media agency to understand campaign performance and use those insights to optimise creative output
  • Manage and develop a community manager, providing strategic direction, accountability, and support for their growthReview creator output and maintain consistent processes, brand standards, and quality across all social content
  • Monitor and elevate consumer queries and concerns in partnership with the Consumer Response Center (CRC), ensuring timely and appropriate responses
  • Use Gen AI tools to support community workflows — from drafting copy and responses to accelerating content planning and reporting

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A strong track record in social media and community management, with experience building and growing engaged communities for consumer brands
  • Deep platform fluency across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook — including strong knowledge of algorithms, content formats, and Mexican audience behaviour
  • Excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt tone and register across platforms, formats, and brand voices
  • Strong social listening and analytical skills, with experience turning data into clear, actionable insight reports for studio and client teams
  • Experience managing social content calendars and coordinating with creative teams to deliver content on time and on brief
  • Confidence presenting insights, recommendations, and creative ideas to brand clients and senior stakeholders
  • A clear understanding of brand safety on social, and how to manage risk without sacrificing cultural relevance
  • Experience managing or developing community managers or junior team members, with an inclusive, supportive approach
  • A genuine feel for Mexican social culture, digital trends, and everyday consumer life in Mexico
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing deadlines without compromising quality
  • Professional proficiency in English is also required for brand and team communication

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience on household, FMCG, personal care, or consumer goods brands
  • Background in an in-house agency, embedded studio, or social-specialist environment
  • Familiarity with paid social amplification, influencer management platforms, or integrated campaign planning
  • Experience in editorial, journalism, or content creation
  • Cross-market experience or knowledge of adapting social strategy across Latin American markets
  • Familiarity with SEO and its relationship to social content and community strategy
  • Experience with social commerce or emerging platform features
