Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a Category Manager for National Chains & Supermarkets in Mexico City to drive category leadership at shelf. You will leverage syndicated data, POS metrics, and shopper insights to design 4P strategies and collaborate with Field Sales, Customer Marketing, and Retailer teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in category management, experience with Nielsen and Kantar, and strong English plus proficiency in Google Suite or MS Office.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Category Management, space planning, and assortment analysis.
• Experience with syndicated market databases (Nielsen and Kantar).
• Intermediate to advanced English (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Category Strategy & Best Practices: develop frameworks and analyze channel trends using syndicated data and shopper insights to guide decisions.
• Commercial & Shopper Analytics: analyze POS and macro-market data to identify whitespace, leakage, and opportunities; recommend assortment, pricing, promotions, and space.
• Merchandising & Space Planning: create planograms and align shelf layouts to shopper decision hierarchies for optimal visibility.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: lead cross-functional reviews with field sales, customer marketing, and retailer teams; act as category advisor.
• Strategic Presentations: build executive-ready category reviews, line reviews, and JBP decks.
• Pilot Execution & In-Field Testing: coordinate pilots, track ROI and shelf compliance across stores.
