Bluelight is seeking a Business Analyst to turn business problems into clear, buildable requirements. You’ll sit between clients, our product team, and engineers: running discovery, mapping processes, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensuring what we ship solves the intended problem.

You’ll work across client builds, maintenance engagements, and Bluelight’s internal products, shaping scoping and estimation for new projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Business Analyst or similar on software projects.
• Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile.
• Run discovery sessions and turn input into structured requirements.
• Comfort with process mapping and data modeling at a business level.
• Hands-on Jira; familiarity with Figma and collaborative docs.
• Excellent written and spoken English; able to lead client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder interviews and workshops with clients.
• Document current-state and future-state processes and rules.
• Break scope into epics and stories for estimation.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and questions; drive resolution.
• Write clear user stories with testable acceptance criteria in Jira.
• Prioritize and groom backlog with the Product Manager.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers in Figma to align flows.
• Answer engineering questions and keep requirements current.
• Coordinate QA, sprint demos and user acceptance testing.
• Organize requirements in Google Drive with rationale.
• Capture SOC 2, security, and audit requirements early.
• Act as main contact for scope questions and translation between teams.
