Kake is seeking a Senior Backend (GO) Engineer to join its technology team, building the digital and streaming products behind major sports content. You’ll work on payments, subscriptions, billing, taxes, refunds, and commerce across direct-to-consumer products at scale.

You will contribute to production code from day one, shape architecture for secure, scalable systems, and collaborate across a distributed global team while mentoring peers and adopting AI-assisted development practices.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional software engineering with scalable APIs.
• Strong proficiency in Go for production services.
• Experience with payments/commerce platforms (Stripe, Adyen, etc.).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Redis).
• AWS or another major cloud provider experience.
• Hands-on with containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience using Generative AI tools in development.
• Strong ownership and production system operation.
• Excellent cross-team communication.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the technical direction of key commerce capabilities, from architecture and design through production.
• Design and build scalable, secure APIs and event-driven systems.
• Work on payment authorization and capture, refunds, disputes, reconciliation, and subscription lifecycle management.
• Build reliable systems that handle retries, out-of-order webhooks, idempotency, and eventual consistency.
• Make architecture decisions balancing reliability, security, cost, and speed of delivery.
• Take ownership of production systems, including incident response, root-cause analysis, and follow-up improvements.
• Write high-quality production code with meaningful test coverage and automation.
• Mentor other engineers and raise engineering standards across the team.
• Evaluate emerging payment and commerce technologies and identify opportunities to improve conversion, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with stakeholders across different business areas to build reusable commerce capabilities without compromising their customer experiences.
