Job summary

Axiom Technologies is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, automate, secure, and support enterprise Azure cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure infrastructure, Kubernetes (AKS), Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and cloud operations.

Remote position based in Mexico for a 1099 Independent Contractor. You will design, deploy, and optimize Azure resources, AKS environments, and automation using Terraform and IaC across enterprise workloads.

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure infrastructure, AKS, IaC, DevOps and cloud operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Remote position based in Mexico; local candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support Azure resources and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage AKS environments, cluster lifecycle, scaling and security.
• Automate provisioning using Terraform and IaC practices.
• Monitor platform health with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Lead incident management and performance optimization.

We are seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, automating, securing, and supporting enterprise Azure cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure infrastructure, Kubernetes (AKS), Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and cloud operations. This role requires a proactive individual who can quickly adapt, take ownership of platform services, and drive engineering excellence.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support Azure resources and cloud infrastructure.
• Application Gateway & Load Balancers
• Azure Firewall & Private Endpoints o Compute services – VMs, App services, Function apps, Logic apps
• Storage Accounts – Blob, File shares
• Key Vault
• Virtual Networks, NSGs, Route Tables
• Implement Azure security, governance, RBAC, Managed Identities, and networking best practices.
• Design, deploy, and support Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments.
• Manage cluster lifecycle, upgrades, scaling, security, and monitoring.
• Administration of Kubernetes Services – Dockerfiles, Deployment manifests, etc.
• Support Helm Charts, Gateway API (Envoy), CSI Drivers, Workload Identity, and container platforms.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes, application, networking, and storage issues.

Infrastructure Automation

• Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and environment standardization.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and platform operations.

Monitoring & Operations

• Monitor platform health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana, and Dynatrace.
• Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
• Drive reliability, security, and cost optimization initiatives.
