MARSILLI MEXICO is seeking a Senior Automation Controls Engineer with 7+ years in automation and experience in automotive or related industries. You will program PLCs, design control panels, and commission automated machinery, ensuring efficiency and reliability across projects.

The role demands Siemens S7 expertise, strong documentation skills, and extensive travel within North America (USA, MX, Canada) with some travel to Europe. Fluency in English is required; Italian is a plus.

Formación

• Degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Control Engineering.
• Structured Text programming knowledge; C/C++ style is a plus.
• Knowledge of coil winding and automation machinery is required.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, especially Siemens S7.
• SQL database knowledge is a plus.
• Able to read electrical schematics in European and American formats.
• Knowledge of robotics/mechanical concepts is beneficial.
• Advanced English; Italian is a plus.
• Passport and VISA updated (mandatory).
• Willingness to travel 70% US/MX/Canada and some Europe.

Responsabilidades

• Program PLCs, HMIs, and VSDs in Siemens language (TIA Portal, S7).
• Design and supervise electrical panels and control cabinets.
• Operate and commission automated machinery.
• Resolve line stoppages and propose efficiency improvements.
• Prepare project documentation and reports.
• Run machinery acceptances in Europe to meet customer requirements.
• Handle customer service calls for field machines.
• Visit customer locations to install machinery and perform acceptance tests.
• Assist with spare parts identification and shipment.

Our headquarters at MARSILLI MEXICO is requiring a: SENIOR AUTOMATION CONTROLS ENGINEER +7 years Automation Engineer working in Automotive or similar Industry.

• Strong knowledge in automation/assembly machinery.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens S7.
• Strong experience in designing, programming, simulating, and testing automated machinery and processes.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Program PLCs, HMIs, and variable speed drives in Siemens programming language (TIA Portal, S7).
• Design and supervise the assembly and installation of electrical panels and control cabinets.
• Operation and commissioning of automated machinery.
• Resolve line stoppages and propose improvements to increase operational efficiency.
• Prepare documentation and reports on automation projects.
• Run acceptances of machinery in Europe to ensure they meet customer requirements.
• Receive phone calls from customers regarding service of machines in the field.
• Visit customer locations with equipment for direct service of existing machinery not correctable by phone.
• Visit customer locations in order to install machinery and go through customer acceptance requirements.
• Assist with spare parts identification and shipment of spare parts.

DESIRE PROFILE:

• Degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Control Engineering.
• Knowledge in Structured Text programming (C++ / C# kind) programming desired is a plus Knowledge of Coil Winding and Automation Machinery required.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers, specifically Siemens S7).
• Knowing SQL database and interface is a plus.
• Must be able to read and decipher electrical schematic's in European and American format.
• Good knowledge mechanical concepts related to robotics/industrial machinery.
• Updated passport and VISA (mandatory).
• Knowledge to understand servo motors, drives, encoders, proximity switches, solenoides and machine controls circuits.
• Advanced English, Italian is a plus.
• Contact management software (Lotus Notes, ACT or similar) and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Job entails extensive travel within North America (USA, MX and Canadá at least 70% of the time, some travel to Europe also possible).
