Job summary

Turtle Trax S.A. is seeking an experienced Android developer to design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Java. You will work with the Android SDK, Jetpack components, and modern architecture patterns to deliver scalable apps.

You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams, implement UI/UX best practices, and ensure quality through thorough testing and Play Store release management. On-site in Mexico, Jalisco region.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Android development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack components, and architecture best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Utilize Android SDK and architecture components such as ViewModel, LiveData, Room, and Navigation to build scalable and maintainable apps.
• Implement modern UI components, layouts, and animations to create intuitive user experiences.
• Apply architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVP, or MVI.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs and work with JSON for data and networking.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define and implement features.
• Use Git, Gradle, and Android Studio for development, version control, and build automation.
• Conduct unit and UI testing using JUnit and Espresso.
• Manage app releases, versioning, and comply with Google Play Store policies and submission guidelines.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize app performance.
