EPAM Systems, Inc. in Mexico is seeking a Senior Android Developer to build native Android apps with Kotlin/Java, collaborating with product, design, QA, and iOS partners to deliver reliable features.

You will drive architecture decisions that improve scalability and performance, write clean, testable code, and develop unit tests while mentoring junior engineers. This role emphasizes CI/CD, observability, and high-quality mobile experiences.

Formación

• 3+ years Android development using Kotlin and Java.
• Experience shipping native mobile apps with strong Android focus.
• Contributed to mobile architecture decisions for scalability and performance.
• Mentorship and code review experience guiding junior engineers.
• Agile delivery experience in cross-functional teams.
• Strong OOP, design patterns and mobile architecture knowledge.
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2) and strong collaboration.
• Nice to have CI/CD pipeline experience for mobile release automation.
• Experience with observability and performance monitoring for mobile apps.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for modern Android UI.

Responsabilidades

• Design high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Android best practices.
• Build new features in partnership with product, design, QA, and engineering peers.
• Define mobile architecture decisions that improve scalability and performance.
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code that meets engineering standards.
• Develop unit tests and improve automated test coverage.
• Review code to ensure quality and consistency.
• Troubleshoot defects, stability issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Monitor app performance and optimize user experience.
• Collaborate with iOS counterparts to align architecture and UX.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows for efficient releases.
• Mentor junior engineers with guidance and feedback.
