McDonald’s Global Technology in Mexico City is seeking a Senior Engineer, Application & API Security to lead Akamai-based security for web and API surfaces across web, mobile, and partner integrations.

You will design and tune WAF, bot management, DDoS mitigation, and collaborate with product, development, and cloud teams to embed security checks into CI/CD; mentor junior engineers and help define standards.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or equivalent.
• Experience with Agile software development and secure DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with large-scale, global high-availability platforms (CDN/edge/cloud).
• Proficiency with Akamai APIs, Terraform, and other IaC tools.
• Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR tools and log analysis.
• Industry security or cloud certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP).

Responsabilidades

• Lead onboarding of new web and API workloads to Akamai.
• Design and implement WAF, bot management, DDoS, and rate-limiting policies.
• Collaborate with product, developers, and cloud teams to embed E-WAAP into CI/CD.
• Lead incident triage and investigations for WAF, API, and bot events.
• Mentor and coach engineers; contribute to SOPs and runbooks.
• Contribute to governance, metrics, and leadership reviews.
