SGI Global LLC seeks a fluent Spanish-speaking Senior Air and Maritime Security Advisor to support INL in Mexico City, providing expert guidance on border security and related enforcement activities. The role involves advisory duties, program monitoring, and coordination with U.S. and Mexican officials.

Formación

  • Fluent or advanced Spanish required (FSI level 3).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in law enforcement or related field; or associate degree with relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in U.S. law enforcement, military, or border security domains is expected.
  • Proven ability to draft and present reports and analyses for senior officials.

Responsabilidades

  • Located in Mexico City with potential travel to other locations; provide advisory support on air and maritime security.
  • Assist INL border security projects; monitor progress and advise Mexican officials across borders, checkpoints and port security.
  • Provide technical support to GOM law enforcement, military, immigration and customs officials.
  • Advise on infrastructure, non-intrusive equipment needs, and training for INL priorities.

Senior Air and Maritime Security Advisor

SGI Global LLC is seeking fluent Spanish speaking a Senior Air and Maritime Security Advisor to support the Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) in Mexico City, Mexico, which requires professional and administrative support services to work with the U.S. Foreign Assistance Program to Mexico.

Qualifications:

  • Spanish FSI level 3.
  • Bachelor's degree or graduate of a US Law Enforcement Agency; or associate degree with five (5) years related experience from an accredited institution or; fifteen (15) years of related experience in law enforcement, international development, international affairs, or public administration.
  • At least fifteen (15) years' experience with U.S. law enforcement or military with a minimum of ten (10) of work experience in the Border Security field and/or working background of Human Smuggling/Trafficking, Cargo/Supply Chain, detection, Targeting, Inspections, Intel analysis, import /export experience, working large Cargo facilities, working knowledge of non-intrusive inspection equipment. Experience working with foreign government officials, preferably within Latin America.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of State (DOS) MRPT security clearance.
  • Ability to deal effectively with senior U.S. and GOM officials.
  • Experience in drafting and authoring weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

Duties:

  • The position is located in Mexico City, Mexico. Travel to other locations in Mexico, the United States and other countries may be required.
  • Supports the INL Precursors team with the implementation of the Border Security foreign assistance projects, specifically focused preventing TCOs/FTOs use of air and maritime ports to traffic precursors, finished illicit drugs, weapons, people and conduct other illicit activity Assists with monitoring and reporting on progress or lack thereof on specific border security projects, providing advice to Mexican officials involved in projects including borders, checkpoints, and Port security efforts.
  • Provides advice and technical support to Government of Mexico (GOM) law enforcement, military, immigration, and customs officials, and other agencies.
  • Advises INL on infrastructure, Non-Intrusive Equipment (NIIE), training needed to implement the INL Mexico Priorities.
  • Suports the UNMANNED AERIAL SYSTEMS (UAS) ADVISOR position as required including by assisting in the integration of counter-UAS, exploitation and other advanced drone capabilities and tools into programming and assisting in advising partners on UAS-related issues.This position description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the incumbent.
