Lifted, an Upwork Company, is seeking a Sr. Software AI Engineer to own end-to-end AI features from spec to deployment, with on‑call responsibilities and AI-driven tooling.

You will build GenAI-powered experiences and the underlying platform, including RAG pipelines, personalization, and an evals/MLOps layer. Responsibilities include designing AI features, building the platform, integrating with marketing tools, and ensuring observability and reliability.

Formación

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on with production LLM applications.
• Experience in RAG, retrieval systems, or agent frameworks.
• Understanding of prompt engineering and context window management.
• Familiarity with vector databases and embedding models.
• Daily use of AI-assisted development tools.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate production AI features (RAG pipelines, LLM-driven recommendations, autonomous agents).
• Build and maintain the shared AI platform layer (retrieval infra, eval frameworks, model monitoring).
• Develop LLM applications and integrations with marketing platforms, BI tools, or product surfaces.
• Evaluate model and feature quality with structured eval frameworks and data-driven iteration.
• Utilize AI-driven SDLC tooling for production code.
