Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant in Mexico to lead close processes, prepare journal entries, and support GAAP-compliant reporting. You will analyze balances and variance explanations, partner with multiple departments, and drive process improvements using data and automation.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and are fluent in English and Spanish, with MBA, MAC/MSA, or CPA a plus. SAP S/4HANA, Power BI, and Excel skills are highly desirable.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• MBA, MAC/MSA, or CPA considered a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
• Strong analytical skills and risk identification capabilities.
• US GAAP knowledge and financial statement understanding.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Lead monthly and quarterly closing processes for assigned areas.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, estimates, reserves, and reconciliations.
• Analyze transactions and trends; explain variances and ensure US GAAP compliance.
• Support external and internal reporting with analysis and documentation.
• Provide GAAP research and policy implementation guidance.
• Partner with Finance, Order to Cash, Supply Chain, Sales and other teams.
• Support internal controls, reconciliations, and audit certifications.
• Provide audit support and calendar schedules with supporting docs.
• Drive process improvements using data, automation and AI tools.
• Support special projects and ad hoc requests for Accounting and Finance.
