A leading gaming and lottery company is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their remote team. This role requires managing month-end and year-end closings, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights. Candidates should have 4–6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity, and strong analytical skills. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required, and familiarity with Oracle or Navision is preferred. Competitive compensation and a flexible work schedule are offered.

Position Summary: Remote Opportunity.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team remotely.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing month‑end and year‑end closings, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision‑making. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The person in this position is primarily responsible for performing daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly general accounting activities for Light and Wonder entities. This includes, but is not limited to, processing transactions into the system such as inter-company, cost, inventory, and GL records (accruals, reclassifications, taxes, etc.), preparing, maintaining, and reconciling assigned accounts in compliance with governmental and Census reporting while adhering to the framework and guidance of GAAP, as well as local compliance.

Essential Job Functions for Accounting & Reporting
  • Preparing and posting journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP, SEC guidelines, and company policies.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts in Blackline.
  • Assist with audit requests.
  • Propose and implement approved process changes to drive automation and scalability.
  • Support acquisition integration.
  • Create, review, and maintain audit support.
  • Perform analysis and provide explanation of the monthly / quarterly variations of some of the balance sheet and P&L accounts.
  • Complete and submit monthly and quarterly reconciliations and tasks in Blackline.
  • Maintain SOX controls according to the Corporate's policy.
  • In charge of keeping local accounting books updated.
  • Provide all information and supporting details requested by management.
  • Attend auditors' requests (internal, external and SOX auditors), all requests from outsourcing and legal firms.
  • Coordinate and follow up all the processes to ensure the accounting records for accounts prolease, royalties, fixed assets, expense accounts, according to local and U.S. GAAP.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory position.
  • Experience with account reconciliation of balance sheet.
  • Intermediate‑advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • ERP experience: Oracle, Navision (preferred).
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Master's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good computer skills and familiarity with spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
