Job summary

Syntax is seeking an experienced Security Project Manager to lead the delivery of a portfolio of security-related initiatives across a global organization. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage dependencies and risks, and provide governance and reporting to security leadership.

The role requires strong cybersecurity project management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to bring structure and accountability to complex programs across security engineering,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing cybersecurity-focused projects in mid-to-large enterprise environments.
• Experience within a CISO organization or for IT services delivering managed or professional security services.
• Proven experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects or workstreams with dependencies and shared resources.
• Strong ability to drive project outcomes with clarity, structure, and consistency.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including reporting to senior leadership.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience delivering cybersecurity projects.
• Strong understanding of security programs, technologies, and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the coordinated delivery of a portfolio of related security projects and initiatives.
• Maintain a consolidated view of the security project portfolio with risks and priorities.
• Support and operationalize Detection Engineering sprint planning and delivery tracking.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Security Engineering, Security Operations, Security Governance, Corporate Security, and Service Management/Customer Success.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, and Service Management to support delivery outcomes.
• Provide clarity and structure to technical teams by linking project discipline with delivery needs.
• Act as a trusted delivery lead with stakeholder communication.
• Deliver regular programme-level reporting to security leadership.
• Ensure projects follow governance, compliance, and risk-management frameworks.
• Develop and maintain project/program plans, timelines, and dashboards.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation actions across concurrent projects.
• Facilitate workshops and requirements-gathering sessions for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Prepare and maintain high-quality documentation including charters and status reports.
