Job summary

CIMMYT is seeking a Security Coordinator to oversee day-to-day security operations at its Headquarters in Mexico, ensuring staffing continuity and adherence to security procedures. You will supervise Shift Security Supervisors and Security Agents and coordinate incident response with Security Management.

The role also involves supporting recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching and performance management of security personnel, while maintaining high professional standards and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Security Management, Criminology, Public Safety, Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible experience in physical security, corporate security or site-security operations.
• Experience with shift-based security operations, access control, security patrols, incident reporting and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate security workforce schedules and coverage for CIMMYT Headquarters, managing shifts, leave, absences and shift changes to ensure adequate staffing.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of Shift Security Supervisors and Security Agents and ensure compliance with procedures and respectful working relationships.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching and performance management of security personnel in coordination with Security Management.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred in Security Management, Criminology, Public Safety, Administration or related field
